Leslie Crandell is the Senior Sales Manager at Berrett-Koehler Publishers. She joined Berrett-Koehler in 2015. She currently focuses on author, corporate, distributor, and academic bulk orders and special sales. Leslie has worked in the publishing industry for over 20 years. Her past experience includes working on corporate custom and special sales with O’Reilly Media, Sybex, and Macmillan. When Leslie isn’t working she likes spending time with family, traveling, and photographing landscapes.
Kevin Eikenberry is a recognized world expert on leadership development and learning and is the Chief Potential Officer of The Kevin Eikenberry Group. His new BK book coming out in April 2018 is co-authored with Wayne Turmel and called The Long-Distance Leader: Rules for Remarkable Remote Leadership. Kevin is creator of the Remarkable Leadership Learning System and the co-founder of the Remote Leadership Institute. His past clients include: The American Red Cross, Invesco, John Deere, Southwest Airlines and many more. His blog is consistently ranked among the world’s best and most read on leadership. Kevin has been named by Inc.com as one of the top 100 leadership and management thinkers in the world and he is an author or contributor to over 15 other books including Remarkable Leadership and Vantagepoints on Learning and Life.
Michelle Fitzgerald is Senior Publicity & Marketing Manager at FSB Associates, an online publicity and marketing firm specializing in creating awareness for books and authors. She began her career as an editorial assistant at John Wiley & Sons, and has worked in the marketing departments at Wiley, Chronicle Books, and Palgrave Macmillan/St. Martin's Press, where she was most recently Marketing Director.
Kristen Frantz is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and has worked at Berrett-Koehler Publishers since 1992. She currently oversees the areas of sales to US trade bookstores, corporations, associations, Canadian distribution, and authors, plus promotion through publicity, direct marketing, promotional materials, and social media. Kristen has worked in nonfiction publishing since 1989, previously working for McGraw-Hill in their textbook division and Bull Publishing, a health, fitness, and nutrition book publisher. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and striking yoga poses.
Sam Horn is CEO of the Intrigue Agency, TEDx speaker, and the author of POP!, Tongue Fu!, and the Washington Post bestseller Got Your Attention? She helps people create one-of-a-kind projects that scale their influence for good. Her work has been featured in New York Times, Fast Company, Forbes and on NPR and MSNBC. Her inspiring presentations receive raves from such clients as NASA, Accenture, National Geographic, Cisco, Boeing, Four Seasons Resorts, and Capital One. As the Pitch Coach for Springboard Enterprises (which has helped female entrepreneurs receive $6.6 billion in funding) and the former Executive Director of the Maui Writers Conference, she's helped hundreds of clients create quality books, presentations, and funding pitches.
Dick Axelrod cofounded the Axelrod Group, Inc., a consulting firm that pioneered the use of employee involvement to effect largescale organizational change. HIs clients include Boeing, British Airways, Coca-Cola, Google, HarleyDavidson, Novartis, and the UK’s National Health Service. Dick is a founding member of the Berrett-Koehler Authors Cooperative. He authored the bestselling Terms of Engagement: New Ways of Leading and Changing Organizations, and coauthored You Don’t Have to Do It Alone: How to Involve Others to Get Things Done, which the New York Times called “the best of the current crop of books on this subject.” His most recent book, co-authored with his wife Emily, is Let’s Stop Meeting Like This: Tools to Save Time and Get More Done. Dick is the recipient of the Organization Development Network’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Chicago.
Wes Bleed (wesbleed.com ) is the Marketing & Communications Director at the Water Quality Association, the leading voice of the water treatment industry. Before that, Wes served as Vice President of Mack Communications, a Chicago area public affairs and public relations firm. Mack specializes in crisis communications, media relations and reputation management. Wes is the former news director at Chicago's legendary WGN Radio where he had the privilege of reporting and anchoring the news for more than 25 years. He could also be heard nationally as a contributing reporter for the ABC Radio Network. As news director, Wes led a team of talented journalists, winning several awards along the way.
Jennifer B. Kahnweiler, Ph.D., Certified Speaking Professional, is a global speaker and bestselling author based in Atlanta, GA. She is hailed as the "Champion of Introverts." Her three Berrett-Koehler books, The Genius of Opposites, Quiet Influence and The Introverted Leader, have been translated into 15 languages. Jennifer has partnered with BK to speak in many countries including Germany, Paraguay, Australia and clients include NASA, the CDC, and the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam. Christy Kirk is the Director of Social Strategy for Weaving Influence, a digital marketing agency. She's a former television journalist, news director and community manager for Fortune 100 brands including Pampers and Carlson Hotels. She lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband, three children, dog and two cats. Christy is a voracious reader, a boot camp regular, and a Diet Coke addict.
Mark Levy is the founder of Levy Innovation, a positioning firm that helps consultants and other thought leaders increase their fees by up to 2,000%. His clients include CEOs of major brands, the former head of the strategy unit of the Harvard Business School, and famed speakers like David Meerman Scott and Simon Sinek. Mark has written for the New York Times, and has written or co-created five books, including, Accidental Genius: Using Writing to Generate Your Best Ideas, Insight, and Content, which has been translated into eleven languages. In addition to being a positioning consultant, Mark creates magic tricks and shows. His work has been performed in Carnegie Hall and Las Vegas, and on major TV networks. She has worked at BK for 8 years building PR strategies and campaigns for authors, arranging book tours, and coaching authors on all aspects of book marketing. Katie previously worked in marketing and PR at a variety of software companies and start-ups in the Silicon Valley.
